Smart Sched V4.4 Release Notes

Version 4.4 Additions

  1. Smart Sched now supports shifts (time spans) that cross the day boundary. Time spans must be less than 24 hours. Making the Ending Time at an earlier time than the Starting Time will mean the Ending Time is on the Next Day. The Graphical TimeLine Bars will have arrows on its ends to indicate if the time crosses into the next day.

  1. All report options can be accessed through the toolbars of the specific reports.

  1. Checking is now done to ensure that time spans do not overlap. If they do overlap, the offending span is removed.

  1. Pagination of reports has been improved to accurately reflect the number of pages in a report.

  1. When the Unassigned Section of the Management Report is displayed, a total of number of hours unassigned is now displayed.

Version 4.3 Additions

1. When a file is opened Smart Sched will display the week that was last worked on.

2. Individual resources can be deleted by using the delete button from the preferred/disliked resource screen.

4. A blank line was added between days on the Schedule report allow handwritten notes to be added.

5. A Toolbar was added to the Schedule report to allow individual schedules to be viewed and printed.

6. Printing was fixed for Schedule Reports to be able to print schedules with page breaks for all employees and clients. Under some conditions it may still may be possible to cut off of the last couple of employees or clients. This is be fixed in the next upgrade, to work around this for now those that are cut off individually with the new toolbar on the schedule report.

7. Notes parsing was added to the Schedule report sorted by Employee. Notes for clients are now able

to be printed for all days, a specific day, or a weekly event and these note are printed as part of the schedule report. For notes to be printed they must be prefixed by an "All:", DayOfWeek:, or a Month/Day: See below for an example:

Monday: Example of a note that is printed on a specific day of week.

12/15: Example of a note that is printed on a specific day.

The prefixes for the notes are case insensitive.

Each note can be one line long. Different notes must have a carriage return between them.
